Vanguard: The Advanced Detachment of the African Revolution by Chairman Omali Yeshitela of the African People’s Socialist Party. This book is the brilliant Political Report to the 7th Congress of the African People’s Socialist Party, held in October 2018 in St. Louis, MO which sums up the current world situation and the goals of the worldwide struggle for African Liberation.
”This crucial book consolidates the dispersed African nation and worldwide African Revolution. From St. Louis, Missouri in the U.S. to Johannesburg, Occupied Azania (South Africa), Nairobi in East Africa, London in Europe, the Caribbean, South America, and other parts of the world where Africans have been dispersed, Chairman Omali Yeshitela builds the Vanguard of the African Revolution, strength by strength, guaranteeing that the African Revolution is on the rise yet again. Independence, unification and socialism in our lifetime! Uhuru!”
— Tafarie Mugeri, Chairman, APSP South Africa
“Vanguard, by Chairman Omali Yeshitela, like his past works, aims to solve the problems of the Revolution and the entire Uhuru Movement— the worldwide anti-colonial movement against imperialism. This book gives us a blueprint for the long haul; for the fight until victory is won, preparing the Party for Revolution and the African working class to govern.”
— Omowale Kefing, Senior Political Editor, The Burning Spear Newspaper
By Penny Hess, Chairwoman of the African People’s Solidarity Committee (apscuhuru.org)
A summation of history and a vision of the future…. through the eyes of the enslaved. This book is both deeply challenging and profoundly hopeful. It presents an unrelenting testimony of the almost unimaginable crimes of white society. It takes us from the genocide unleashed against the cosmopolitan, prosperous and technologically advanced societies that populated the Earth prior to Colombus’ raid on the Americas, all the way through the current U.S. “economic boom’ based on the genocidal prison rates of African people today.
Overturning the Culture of Violence is more than a history lesson. It opens the door for white people to be part of the future through reparations to African people. It calls on white society to align its interests with the rest of huanity and be part of building a world free of oppression and violence.
With a foreword by Omali Yeshitela.
