When you shop at Uhuru Planet, you are directly advancing the work of the African People’s Solidarity Committee to carry out our goal of raising white reparations to African people, under the leadership of the African People’s Socialist Party. Your sales support our work to keep the Uhuru Solidarity Center in St. Louis, MO open and thriving with activity, as well as planning to open Solidarity Centers in other cities around the world.

The Solidarity Center was acquired in September 2021 and is one of the many properties that make up the Black Power Blueprint project which spans across North St. Louis. It is a valuable community gathering point and info-shop in the white community to host all kinds of events and Political Education programing on African Internationalism and reparations to African people. The Center is instrumental in large-scale fundraising to raise the resources needed for the black self-determination programs of the Uhuru Movement.

solidarity with the black power blueprint

The Black Power Blueprint is a joint program of the African People’s Education and Defense Fund (APEDF) and Black Star Industries (BSI), transforming North St. Louis through renovation, economic development and political power by and for the black community.

Led by Deputy Chair Ona Zené Yeshitela, President of APEDF and BSI, the Black Power Blueprint was launched in 2017 on the North Side of St. Louis, the most impoverished area of the city. The project is buying abandoned, dilapidated buildings, initiating a rapid process of restoration or demolition and re-allocation of land to create community-generated, self-reliance programs that uplift the residents and engage them socially, politically and economically in the future of the black community.

Uhuru Planet is committed to supporting the Black Power Blueprint.

Uhuru Planet is a proud member of the international Buy Black Power campaign, launched by the African People’s Socialist Party as part of the work to build an independent African economy in the hands of the African working class community.  Under the umbrella of Black Star Industries, Buy Black Power is more than a slogan.  It is a revolutionary demand to politicize commerce in order to shift ownership of the means of production and distribution to build social wealth under the leadership of the African working class.

Uhuru Planet is part of the decades-long legacy of the African People’s Socialist Party which has been fighting for black power and reparations for nearly half a century. This video is a brief history on the World Tribunal on Reparations to African People, coordinated by the African People's Socialist Party in 1982 and for years after. When you purchase from Uhuru Planet and support our institution, you are part of this legacy too.

Learn more about the mass campaigns for white people’s reparations to African people via the Uhuru Solidarity Movement and Reparations Legacy Project. These are membership-based organizations of white people who work under the leadership of the African People’s Socialist Party to raise reparations to African people. USM and RLP hold regular events, campaigns and political actions throughout the year, such as the “Make Wall Street Pay Reparations” campaign to demand reparations from the Wall Street banks, corporations and capitalist ruling elites.

We salute our leadership, Chairman Omali Yeshitela and Deputy Chair Ona Zené Yeshitela of the African People’s Socialist Party. The political and the economic are one! Reparations Now!
