St Petersburg FL: Home of the First Act of Black Power (Tote Bag)
$12.00
This tourist-looking bag for St Petersburg, Florida is an homage to Chairman Omali Yeshitela, leader of the APSP, who in 1966 ripped down the huge racist mural that hung in St. Petersburg City Hall. Yeshitela was imprisoned for years for this heroic act, and the wall still remains blank to this day. The photo was taken immediately after Yeshitela ripped down the mural in 1966.
Canvas tote bag with black waterbased screenprint ink.
